Postpartum

The wall installation Postpartum depicts episodes of the artist’s personal experience in connexion to childbirth and the postpartum depression. It evokes physical and emotional struggles, and the start of a journey towards healing. Using personal symbols conjured up in mandalas the artist drew to cope at times of inner turmoil, the work is also an attempt to enrich the dialogue on a subject that remains largely taboo.
