Luminous 1, 2016

This vase form is part of a series entitled Luminous. Starting from a composed object, the artist intends to investigate the relationship between form and surface and to see how drawings may compliment the form or play with it to reveal new ways of looking at the same object. Through repetition and change, subtle shifts in perspective occur, allowing the piece, especially when combined with others from the same series, to create their own identity both individually and as part of a collection.
