Gundiyali Triptych

Gundiyali Triptych is the result of the collaboration and dialogue with the potters of Gundiyali village. During the pandemic, through a video talk and presentation of my work to the potters of Gundiyali, I invited them to reflect on and respond to my work, particularly my series Still Life. The potters' visual responses were simple yet beautiful and inspired me to create something new in response. I liked the flatness in their drawings and paintings and this is what I attempted to capture in return. This work was exhibited at Northern Clay Centre, USA for the exhibition ‘Passages from India’.
